Animated Graph
This graph shows the relationship between the growth rate of Pinehurst and the growth rate of First Baptist Pinehurst. The data shows a clear connection between the amount of new attendees at the church and the amount of new people in Pinehurst in the time between 2011 and 2017.

Design Principles
This graph follows a design that many are familiar with, but it's still important to explore the elements that make it effective.
The orientation of the lines clearly show that the upward movement means growth, and the downward movement means decline. The position of the data on the x-axis and y-axis makes it easy to determine what each progression of the animation is indicating.
I used the green color theme of my logo to indicate the data from the church, while the blue color contrasts well to indicate the data from the town.
The shape of the horizontal lines helps provide proximity and reference to the data on the y-axis. if the lines weren't there, it might be hard to see the relationship between what is on the graph and what is on the axis.
